Supplement Spotlight: Surviving in the Hive with Booster C

We’re a bunch of busy little bees here at the USANA Home Office, and our cubicle-filled hive is swarming with industrious souls who don’t want to take time out just because we’re feeling the sting of a stressed immune system. Enter Booster C 600. This latest addition to our colony of nutritional products has rapidly become a favorite among we the worker bees. You’ll often find us buzzing around the office in search of a packet of this sweet, lemon-berry nectar.
Quite simply, it’s the bee’s knees!
Okay, I think that’s enough with the bee stuff, but the fact remains, Booster C 600 is an amazing seasonal product that we all seriously love around here. This little wonder of a powder that you can add to water or, if you dare, take straight (I tried it and somehow managed to snort it up my nose—not pretty), has kept many of us going when the doldrums have threatened to take us down.
The Specifics
Aside from being magically delicious, Booster C 600 has powers bordering on the magical thanks to its blend of super immune-supporting ingredients:
Vitamin C as Poly C—Everyone is pretty much hip to the fact that vitamin C is amazing for immune system support. What you may not know, though, is that USANA’s Poly C blend is vitamin C kicked up a notch. In fact, an in-house study showed that Poly C provides a higher level of vitamin C in the body over a longer period of time than plain ol’ ascorbic acid (which is what most of those “competitors who shall not be named” are using).
Zinc—We added a shot of zinc in Booster C 600, which is known to support the immune system. We use amino acid chelate, which tends to be absorbed and retained more readily by the body for better effectiveness.
Elderberry—Flavonoid-rich black elderberries are a concentrated source of anthocyanins, immune-stimulating antioxidants.
Echinacea—This herb has been used for bazillions of years. It’s generally best to use it before or right when you start feeling a little crummy to activate your body’s natural resistance to invaders. The purpurea species that we use has been shown to be more absorbable that other forms.
One word of warning…echinacea isn’t generally something you want to take for extended periods of time, which is why we say you shouldn’t take Booster C 600 for longer than two weeks straight. It’s going to be waaaay more effective for you to only use this product when you need it; although, we know, like a bee drawn to a flower, it is going to be hard for you to resist. I know it’s tough for me…because it tastes so darn good! Keep taking your Essentials, Probiotic, and Proflavanol C for daily immune support, and save the Booster C 600 for times when you’re traveling, under a lot of stress, hanging out with a bunch of people, or when you’re just not feeling your chipper self.
Booster C 600 is even more awesome because it’s packaged in stick packs, so it’s easy peasy to stuff a couple in your purse or “man bag.” And, did I mention that it’s magically delicious?
